Service Terms

How working with me works

This is the short, plain-English version. Every project also gets a written agreement with the full terms, and we both sign it before I start.

Deposits and payment

Projects start with a 50% deposit. It holds your spot and covers the planning, so it’s non-refundable.
The rest is due before I hand over final files or put your site live.
Monthly services are billed on the 1st of each month.
Invoices are due within 14 days. After that there’s a $25 late fee.

Changes

Most projects include 2 rounds of changes. A round is one list of feedback, sent together.
More rounds, or starting over after you’ve approved a design, cost $50 an hour. I’ll always ask before charging extra.

Timelines

The clock starts once I have your deposit and what I need from you (text, photos, logins).
I ask for feedback within 5 business days. If I don’t hear back for 30 days, I pause the project. Restarting may mean a restart fee and a new spot on my calendar.

Who owns what

Once you’ve paid in full, your final logo, website design and content are yours.
Designs you didn’t pick stay with me.
Fonts, stock photos and plugins belong to the people who made them and come with their own rules.
I may show finished work in my portfolio. If you’d rather I didn’t, just tell me.

Monthly services

Social media and Google Business Profile plans have a 3-month minimum. After that they’re month to month.
To cancel, give me 30 days’ notice.
I don’t post anything you haven’t approved on the monthly calendar.

Canceling a project

You can cancel anytime. I keep the deposit and bill for any finished work beyond what it covered.
If I have to cancel, I refund anything you paid for work I haven’t done.

What I can’t promise

I do careful work, but nobody can promise search rankings, followers, reviews or sales. Google, Meta, TikTok and the app stores change their rules all the time, and I can’t control that.

Photo sessions

Mini sessions and portraits have their own short terms, which you’ll see when you book: a $30 non-refundable deposit, free rescheduling for bad weather, and your photos within 7 days.
